I am using Chrome's latest version. I had 5.2.2 installed and tried to upgrade. Could not do it. Switched to Safari and it worked. It's why I have 5.3 alpha installed now. So, I don't know if it's a Joomla issue, server or Chrome. The fact is that none of the extensions can connect to the server using Chrome. I have CORS disabled in Joomla.
